Why Should Knanaya People Follow Endogamy?
The following are some points quoted from the Holy Bible giving us ample proof to why Knanaya people should follow endogamy.
-Our forefathers (God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob) Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob all married within their own family.
Abraham
-Our forefather Abraham's wife Sarah was from his own family (God called Abraham from Mesopotamia, which is where God's own people started. We the Knanaya people also came from Mesopotamia.)
-Genesis 11:29- "And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah"
Jacob
-Genesis 24:2-3- "And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh: And I will make thee swear by the Lord, the God of Heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell"
-Genesis 25:20- Sarah's brother Nahor, had a son named Bethuel, who had a daughter named Rebekah who married to Isaac
Jacob
-Genesis 28:1-2- "And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother."
-Jacob obeyed Isaac and on the way, he received God's blessing and married from his own family (Leban's daughter)
Moses-Even the greatest leader of God's own chosen people who saw God and talked to God directly, married from within his own family
-Exodus 2:16-21 "21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses, Zipporah his daughter"
Lord's Laws Tells to Not Marry From Outside
-Deuteronomy 7:1-4: "When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to posses it. Neither shalt thou make marriages with them, thy
daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto
thy son. For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve
other gods, so will the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and destroy
these suddenly."
When they broke this law and covenant, they became captured, sorrowful and made a covenant again
Nehemiah 9:38- "And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and priests, seal unto it"
-This covenant is:
Nehemiah 10:30- "And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land; nor take their daughters for our sons"
In the book of Ezra, we can see in many places that marriage outside of the community is against God's commandments and the inheritance of your children will be taken away and remnants shall not be made.
Ezra 9:12, 14- "Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever; that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever. Should we again break their commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations? Wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor escaping?
Again we can see marriage outside is against the commandment and law. People made confession and chief priests, the Levites and all Israel swore that they should do according to the law.
-Ezra 10:2-5-"And Shechaniah the son Jehiel, one of the sons Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, 'We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land, yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing. Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my Lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law. Arise, for the matter belongeth unto thee, we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it. Then arose Ezra, and made the chief priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they should do according to this word. And they swore."
-Ezra 10:10-11- "And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel. Now therefore make confession unto the Lord God of your fathers, and do his pleasure, and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives."
The greatest king in history fell because of marrying outside of his people, against the law written in Deuteronomy 7:3-4.
-Nehemiah 13:26-27- "Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel; never the less even him did outlandish
women cause to sin. Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?"
We can see after him, his kingdom got divided because of this.
Isaac's first son Esau did not get his blessing because he married outside of his people. No other reason is shown in the Bible for this. Isaac's wife says better to commit suicide, if her second son also married outside.
-Genesis 27:46-"And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth, if Jacob accepts a wife from the stock of this land, I would not be willing to live."
-Genesis 28:8-9-"And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father, then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahatiath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife."
-Like Esau sold the birth right of the first born son for a cup of stew, don't lose the right of Knanaya for nothing. Instead be proud to be a part of the heritage of God's remnant chosen people from the time of creation.
When our great leader Moses saw one of his Hebrew brothers beaten by an Egyptian, Moses killed the Egyptian. Exodus 2:11,12. Likewise we also should be united and spirited.
We can see how much problems are being made by those who married from outside and they are trying to come back. Why? Then you can understand the value of us.
-The Knanaya people are the real Jewish people, remnant of God's chosen people, who believe in Jesus Christ and keeps endogamy paternally and maternally and this can be shown with several proofs from the Bible. If you believe in this, you will understand how important Knanaya people (Jewish) are with hundreds of proofs from the Bible, if God allows.
